There are so many things us moms need to know that help keep our children healthy and happy. Walmart Canada and momstown are here to help new moms through these times, so that we can enjoy every minute with out little ones.
We started our Baby Basics program with Bathing.
The moms talked about how often we bath our children, where, how and who baths them. I was surprised to know that many dads bath their little ones. It is a great bonding moment between father and child, plus it gives mom a break.
We discussed shampoo and soaps that we love and use. Two of our lucky moms WON one of 2 JOHNSON'S® Prize Pack!
Johnson’s Head to Toe wash: Bathe your baby in pure gentleness.
JOHNSON'S® HEAD-TO-TOE® Baby Wash is an ultra-mild cleanser for your baby's skin and hair that's gentle enough even for newborns. They have taken love and gentleness and bottled it up. It cleanses gently, so you can use it anytime you bathe your baby. You can also use on a soft wet washcloth for in-between bath wash-ups.
We need to keep our babies skin looking and feeling great after bath too. Johnson’s Baby Pink Lotion: With that unmistakable baby fresh scent is one that I just love. As the # 1 choice of hospitals and with the wonderful baby fresh scent, it could just be your best friend to help protect your baby's skin from dryness. This ultra-gentle lotion softens and nourishes, for baby softness.
The prizes kept our moms excited! Amy won Precious Planet™ Whale of a Tub!™ from Mattel which is perfect for her daughter!
Baby will have a whale of a good time in this adorable bath center that grows from infant to toddler. A contoured “baby stopper” insert keeps your infant from sliding into the water. When your little one becomes a toddler, remove the “baby stopper” to reveal a deep basin with non-slip surface. Use the adorable baby whale toy for washing or play, and bath time will be a splish-splashin’ blast!
Our older babies enjoyed some water play with our duckie pool!
Candace and her daughter Vanessa won an Inflatable Tub by Ginsey.
Parents shouldn't dread the struggles of bath time; our inflatable safety bathtubs are equipped with all the bathing basics to wash more and worry less!
The soft cushion material is comfortable for baby, while a back piece provides additional support parents need when washing. A water temperature display and large storage pockets make start to finish a breeze. When bath time is over, you can simply air dry with the included suction cup. Deflate for storage or family trips!
Bath toys! They are cute and colourful and some even squirt water which is super fun for kids, but we learned they can be dangerous too. Some toys that don't let the water completely drain out, can build up mold and other bacteria that can potentially make our babies sick. The key is to stay away from the squirters. You will never get all the water fully out of them and the mold will grow fast. Make sure you can leave the toys to dry and rinse them with soap and warm water after each use. Garanimals.com make these cute animal bath thermometers that double as a safe bath toy and warn you of the water temperature, so that you know if it's too hot and when it's too cold for your baby.
All these products found in our loot bags and the prizes can all be purchased at Walmart. Walmart Canada is your one stop for all of your baby needs, online and in-store PLUS!! Walmart.ca offers free shipping, anytime, with no minimum purchase requirements which is fantastic for the busy mom!
Each mom went home with a fun loot bag!
We made a super cute duck keepsake craft using our babies footprint too.
Yellow and orange washable paint
canvas or cardstock
Paint your babies foot with yellow paint. Gently press onto the canvass to create a nice footprint. Add a neck curving up from the heal of the foot and finish with a round shape for the head.
Use the orange paint to make the beak adn glue on a goggle eye.
Use the makers to add some lines to create a water look, and tie a bow inthe ribbon and glue it on the neck of your little duckie.
Join us on July 23rd, as we discuss Safety with our moms and babies.
